GAA March 7th

E-mail Print PDF
If a week is a long time in politics the same can certainly be said in sport. Our U21 footballers played their first round match against Killenaule on Monday night last suffering a heavy defeat and went on to lose their losers group match to Clonmel Og on Saturday which ends our interest in the championship for this year. Following their double win last year and starting back early the U21'A' championship was always going to be difficult. Injuries to some of our more established players didn't help the cause. However they can only learn from the experience and I have no doubt these players will have plenty of success in the years ahead.

A very important issue this year is insurance. It is vital before players play games that they be insured. This can be done by paying your membership of €50 for adults to club registrar Tommy O'Sullivan. Training for all adults continues every Tuesday and Friday nights. Players to be on the field at 7-30.

Our adjourned Agm will take place this Friday night at 9-30. A copy of our proposed club constitution can be got on request from Secretary Oliver Vaughen.
