Kickham Country Weekend in Mullinahone

The Kickham Country Weekend takes place in Mullinahone this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

It opens on Friday night at Mullinahone Community Centre with the official opening by Dr Catriona Clutterbuck, from

the Department of English at UCD.

The opening night lecture will be given by historian Nancy Murhy who will talk on the trial and execution of the Cormack brothers in Nenagh in 1858.

The event continues on Saturday with a guided bus tour of the parish of Clonoulty and a lecture that evening on the trial and execution of Fr Sheehy in Clonmel.

Sunday sees an anniversary mass for CJ Kickham and James Maher and later a poetry and music recital in Killaghy Castle walled garden
