Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp

This camp will take place in Mullinahone from August 18th to August 22nd.  Age group is from 6 to 13. Register on line or if you wish contact Victor Direen, Club Chairman.

Results and Fixtures

U8 Hurlers will take part in a County Blitz in Dr. Morris Park, Thurles on Saturday 26th July while our U10 hurlers take part in a South Tipp blitz in Carrick on Wednesday 23th July.

U12H

In the last week our U12’s played, but lost to both Fethard and Ballybacon Grange. A speedy recovery to David Gunn who was injured in the Ballybacon game.

U14

Hurlers will play Killenaule on Thursday 24th July at 7pm in Killenaule, while on Thursday 31st July they are at home to Kilsheelan at 7pm.

U16’s

The U16 hurlers have a home game via Ballingarry on Monday 28th July at 7pm.

Local Lotto

The last local lotto jackpot draw took place on Monday 14th July. The numbers drawn were 4,6,12 and 30.  There was no jackpot winner, but there were 5 Match 3 winners.   Congrats to Doireann Walsh, Lily Neary, Cora Freaney, Brendan Scott and Keith Collins who shared €150. Next draw will be on Monday 28th July, when the jackpot could be worth €6,100.

Table Quiz

The Mullinahone Tidy Villages Committee will hold a table quiz in T.J. Macs on Friday 25th July at 9.30pm.  Tables cost €20 per table.  Funds are urgently needed to continue village works.  Please support in any way you can.

Walking Club

On Wednesday 23rd July, a meeting will be held in the Knocknagow Community Centre at 8pm with a view to setting up a walking group.  Guest speaker, writer and travel guide, John G Dwyer.

Lecture Padraigin Riggs U.C.D “The History of Hurling”.

Saturday 2nd August  Historic trip to Piltown District

Lecture Saturday night “Folklore in Mullinahone in the 1930’s”.

Sunday 3rd August Kickham oration by Triona Clutterbuck,

Sunday afternoon poetry reading at Killaghy Castle.

Parish Newsletter

The Diocesean Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday August 3rd.  Bus will leave the car park at 8am.

Adoration this coming Thursday, 24th July will not begin until 4pm.

Mass Rock:  The Mass Rock committee will hold a gathering for Mass to be celebrated at the Mass Rock at 3pm on Sunday August 3rd. The new cross that has been erected behind the Mass Rock will be blessed.  All are welcome.
