Juvenile Club agm: The above agm will take place this Friday night at 8 o'clock in the Sports Complex. Reports will show the successful year the club had on the playing field along with the wonderful U 12 inter-county tournament which is now acknowledged as a part of the hurling calendar in many clubs around the country. The people who run our juvenile club deserve great credit for the time and effort they put into our young players. You can show this appreciation by coming to the meeting on Friday night. The club is very aware of the number of new families living in our parish at the moment and extends an invitation to these families also to attend and information concerning juvenile games.

There are some hats and navy club tops still available in kids sizes and can be got from the juvenile officers.

Sports Complex and Gym:

The sports hall is available for booking at the moment. Its wonderful to see our new youth club availing of these facilities. The youth club will meet again on Friday week between 8-30 and 10. Its certainly proving popular with the teenagers and new members are also welcome. Gym membership is now due and can be paid to Jackie Bolger. Please pay your membership before using gym.

Senior Club:

Membership of the Club can now be paid. Adult players €50, general public €30 and senior citizens €15. Membership can be paid to club registrar Tommy O'Sullivan. With €8,000 now due to insure and registrar our teams and facilities early payment would be appreciated.

Players meeting:

A meeting of all adult players will take place this Friday night at 9 o'clock in the dressingrooms. New manager Michael Ryan will layout a training program for the coming year. There will be a big emphasis this year on all adult players training together so its very important for all players from all grades to attend. Once again we wish our players and selectors every success for the coming year.

Referees:

Every year referees play a very important role in the playing of our games. As a Club we can be proud of the fact that we provide three referees to our division and county. This coming season Victor Direen, John McCormack and Martin Cody will once again represent us. They are always looking for umpires so if you have some spare time I'm sure the lads would appreciate your help.

Juvenile agm:

The agm of our Juvenile Football and hurling Club will take place in the Sports Hall in the GAA Sportsfield on Friday night next February 13 at 8pm. Especially invited are all parents and new families who have come to the parish. Last year, our underage hurlers won divisional titles at U.14 and U.16 level, but while it is good to win taking part and learning the skills of the games is much more important. Remember 8pm on this Friday night.

The first Mullinahone Golf Society outing of 2009 will take place on Saturday March 14th. Venue for the tee off to the season is Mountain View, Ballyhale. The second is an extra long hole. This time, the venue is Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. The outing is on Friday April 17. That is the Friday after Easter. This outing involves a one night stay and two days of golf. With only 20 places available for this trip, you are advised to book early. Contact Kevin O'Meara, this year's Captain to book your place for both outings. This is a unique venture for our golfers and Castleblaney should be a new part of the country for many.
