Darbys Castle

Darbys Castle

It is Sunday lunchtime in the Darby household.
Ed Darby is a recently-retired successful Bank
Manager, much lauded by his peers at the previous
night’s retirement party. Along with his wife Anne
he awaits the arrival of their grown-up offspring.
Surely a Sunday family celebratory meal will be
the perfect beginning to his new life….or will it?

“Darby’s Castle” is a contemporary play about family conflict and secrets, the pursuit and price of “success”, and a bustrip to Tramore some 40 years previous.
