Our under 21 footballers were the first club team into championship action in 2008. For the last month the team had been preparing under the manager Sean O Meara. Glad to report that the preparations were all worthwhile as on Saturday last at Monroe they defeated Cahir by 0-8 to 0-6 in a tight game.

The score at half time was Mullinahone 0-3 to Cahir’s 0-3. In the second half Mullinahone got on top to win by two points.

Team: Alan Walsh, Niall Mullally, Joseph O Meara, Micheal O Brien, Sean Quirke, Enda McEnery, Shane O Brien, A.J Cronin, Donal Cody, Kevin Walzer, Adrian Doheny, Thomas Collins, Niall O Brien, Eddie Phelan and Niall Cronin.

Subs used: Brian Treacy and John Murphy.

Hopefully by the next day a number of injuries will have healed. Well done to all concerned.
