County Medals Presented

mullinahoneMullinahone under 14 hurlers who won the South and County under 14 titles this year were presented with their medals at a most injoyable function held in the new sports hall on Saturday night last.


The young hurlers were presented with their medals by Mullinahone and Tipperary hurler Paul Curran.


Paul encouraged the players to build on their success and to further develop their skills. He also said that the greatest satisfaction that the players would ever get would come from playing with their own club teams.

Emma strikes All Ireland glory. In 1997 when Tipperary lost to Clare in the All Ireland final, Pat Kenny brought his Kenny Live show to Mullinahone to interview some or our county hurlers. On the television footage many of our young juveniles were filmed showing their skills to the nation. One of those juveniles was Emma Williams.

People involved with the juvenile club are in the process of calling to houses in the process of calling to houses to sell their very impressive calendar to raise funds for the club for the coming year.gaa


This is certainly a well put together calendar with our county under 14 winning team taking pride of place in the front. All of this years underage teams along with some action shots of our under 10’s taken by Neill Thompson are also included. Chairman Johnny Kennedy thanks sincerely the sponsors of the calendar who paid to have their adverts included.

At this stage you will have seen the draft posters on display in Kelly’s shop window. The final print will take place on Friday week so there is still time if you would like your own name or family name added and become a patron. Each square costs €100 and a draw for a €1000 prize fund will take place in December.
