Mullinahone had a great start to their season in the under 13 league defeating Clogheens Vee Rovers 3 – 0 away from home.
The squad, a combination of Mullinahone, Drangan, Cloneen and Killenaule with a little bit of Germany and Israel added for good measure gave an outstanding display against very robust opposition.

The first game of the season is never easy but this was a stern test of character and discipline, which the lads passed with flying colours.
The goals came from Darragh Wilson (2) and Aidan Buckley. Next week's opposition are table toppers St. Michaels from Tipperary town.
During the summer, the lads travelled to see the Ireland team train in Tipperary. Now it's their own turn to emulate Trapattonis men.

Since last season, many of the boys have gone on to secondary school and their transition has been eased by the friendships made on the soccer pitch.
Fellows from other villages are no longer strangers and having competed against each other throughout the summer on gaelic fields, they now sit together in class and form a formidable unit on the soccer field.

Last weekend's squad was
Jan Kutay, Shane O'Connell, Conor Meagher, Sean Bermingham, Michael Dunne, Cory Padget Trudgill, Tommy Hayes, Aidan Buckley, Darragh Wilson, Conor Cuddihy, Graham Horan, Joe Hogan, Paul Luttrell, Ciaran Mockler, Darren Boland, Cameron Moynihan, Jack Hennessy and Yam Zur.
The team is coached by John Bermingham, Chris Hayes and Nigel Trudgill

Congratulations to Sean Bermingham who has been selected on the south Tipperary under 21 soccer team following a series of trials. Sean is the first player from the Mullinahone club to receive this honour. He will become part of an emerging talent programme where the players receive expert coaching to develop soccer skills.

The squad will commence training shortly in preparation for a National Inter League Competition. Sean has already represented Tipperary in Gaelic Football and played against Limerick earlier this year in the primary school games. It is a great honour for a small club like Mullinahone to have a player chosen in this elite group as the majority of the team came form the soccer strongholds of Clonmel, Thurles and Tipperary town.

Mullinahone have a very important game at the weekend as they take on Vee Rovers at home in their final group game. A win would almost guarantee Mullinahone second place after the first series of games.
